We attempted to integrate the use of personal computer into basic accounting education, which has depended on paper materials and face-to-face educational methods. The paper's objective is twofold: to summarize the computer systems developed; and to provide a record of the students' response to using hyper-text. A detailed description of users' attitudes helps us to judge whether these kinds of the systems fit into an accounting curriculum. The need for the further improvement in the system is explained, together with some of its successes. This monograph contains the instructional manuals to create hyper-text, for which only basic computer skills are needed.
